I don't know anything about Porcupine Tree, but I'm definitely interested in catching some Frippertronics.

I wouldn't mind seeing this show myself, just for Fripp.

Actually, I think that I might like Porcupine Tree live. Can't say the recorded works hold me but they just sound like something I would enjoy live. Very Prog Rockish and British. The more sophisticated and cerebral type as oppossed to the "ROCK AND ROLL! LET'S PARTY HEARTY!" Mainstream lame-ass types. Although I kind of have a feeling that Stephen guy is a little priss that has found his way up his ass all by himself. Shouldn't really say that though as I don't know much about the man. Just my impression. Then again, I like a lot of bands who have members who have issues. Usually doesn't change the music…unless it's fucking Bono.

Good pairing with Fripp.
i don't know if anyone would care. i'm still finding it weird, but oh well.

from their website:

10/30
Hanson

Wierd is you confessing to going on their Web site, lol. Actually, this should bring joy to the many minors that frequent the Club. I imagine this to be a non-alcohol night?

No, Steven Wilson is very fan-oriented and generally a good guy. SAme with the rest of the band. They do have that "prog" sound but I think they are infinitely better than Rush.. I've been following them since 1995. They are also one of the tightest live bands you will probably see all year.

I think some of you hipsters had mentioned wanting to see this at Birchmere:

Love with Arthur Lee - CANCELLED!
"Sadly, Arthur Lee's mental and physical health has been in steady decline since the Zombies/Love tour of last year," the site says, also referencing "several disastrous performances both home and abroad."

Tickets for all her shows on this tour are supposed to go on sale Aug 19 or 20 – I don't know what that means for 9:30 Club and their Thursday sale dates.

Cue up 16 year old girls screaming and Rhett throwing around the word "skinny" as though it's an insult, Conor Oberst has announced tour dates kiddies:

ugh…one of my friends insisted that I go to the bright eyes show earlier this year saying that 'seeing conor live would like totally make you a super fan'. I hate bright eyes even more now.

Also, oberst selects really crappy opening acts. Coco Rosie was the most painful 'band' I've ever seen. ever. Their 'live show' was a screen showing donkeys having oral sex while two chicks screeched like cats being strangled and some dumbass in a headress beat boxed. I would rather have a colonoscopy than go through that evening again.
Saw Bright Eyes on their last trip to the 930 and was underwhelmed. I didn't hate the guy but I just didn't get it. But I did appreciate the underaged eye candy. Girls just didn't look like that when I was in high school. :)

Come on, look on the brightside, the chick factor has to be through the roof that night!

I'm tempted to quote a certain line from the film 'Dazed and Confused'… :)

I'd actually consider this, as long as it's priced right and there are no other shows I want to see that night.

I've seen him 3 times now, and the Digital tour was not his best. This time he'll be backed by a "traditional Bright Eyes lineup." Hopefully he'll play more stuff from Lifted and Fevers and Mirrors

Magic Numbers may be opening.

Same day as Echo, so I'll probably skip this show. I hate Constitution Hall anyway. If he plays Electric Factory, I might make the trip up to Philly the next day.

You must lead a very one dimensional life. Go bowling or something that night.
