Did anybody mention Hamilton Leithauser at Sixth and I on May 17?

Don't think i'm going to convince my wife that we need to go to that one on our anniversary…

Does anybody know who is in his touring band? The solo album features some name players.

With the Walkmen on hiatus, frontman Hamilton Leithauser will release a solo album this year, titled Black Hours and out May 6 in North America and May 5 elsewhere on Ribbon Music. It was a collaborative effort, featuring contributions from members of Dirty Projectors, the Shins, Fleet Foxes, Vampire Weekend, and the Walkmen.
^ CANCELED
Saw Leithauser @ Joe's Pub in NYC - new songs were great and all-star backing band was fantastic

Haha. He played the club about 6-7 years ago and a picture famously got posted of like fifteen tickets taped to the front door for free. Scalpers bit it huge on that one.

First Dead Kennedys minus Jello and now Scott Stapp.  The Howard is scrapping the bottom of the barrel.  I guess the huge amount of venues in DC is giving has-beens a chance to stick around a little longer.
But the real question is, how much more expensive is a ticket to see him now versus the cost of a ticket to the older show due to more venues opening in the area?

i just don't think it applies in this case….

i think creed has gone way down the drain since his last solo show……but, as always, you will advise on what is correct.

The Black Star Riders is the currrent version if you can call it that of Thin Lizzy but as far as I can tell the only guy in the band who played on those killler records is Scott Gorham who was one of the two twin lead guitarists..

some forumer requested the reformed Thin Lizzy a while back on the Hey Seth thread….but he thought there were more "original" members (note for the anal: Gorham is not technically "original" having joined in 74)

Old 97s
Lydia Loveless (Opening)
Saturday May 31

I love Lydia's albums…which is pretty recent stuff…..I think she's 23?  more proof I'm still plugged in… not  a hipster mind you…I would never say that

;D

I hear the new Old 97s is also pretty good.
Thanks again for the Lydia Loveless tip. Picked up her two most recent albums and love, love, love them. Really looking forward to this show.
