I know this will thrill some of you:

SAT NOV 25- THE HOLD STEADY $13 Adv/ $15 DOS mainstage 9:00

is this the first time he's played the club?
I think he played there in may of 97. Could be way off on the date but I know he was there once before.

Edit: I was 2 years off.

It would have if it hadn't been anounced 5 days ago.
Sorry, I was trying to follow Pollard's weeks late High Strung announcement with one of my own!

Hmm… Somewhat similar sounding style. Interesting.
I was at the 5/11/99 Trey Anastasio show. Talk about a sold out clusterphuck.

His new material is so bad, I bet he doesn't even sell it out.

I'll take that bet.
His last album was a piece of shit. Haven't heard this one but I wouldn't expect much. Reviews of this current tour have been ok though. I personally wouldn't pay more than $30 but I'm sure it'll sell out within a couple hours.

DC still reigns supreme over Baltimore when it comes to venues but Baltimore continues to leave DC behind in their dust when it comes to record/CD stores.

Something right is finally happening in this Godforsaken town! Here's a list of a few in-stores coming up. Sorry, don't know the times for some of them. All I have as of now is what I'm listing here. Personally, I'm not excited about any of them but this is definitely a step up in the right direction and a far cry from the Hardcore fake Alternative crap they were having in the past year or so which was even a step up from the nothing whatsoever prior to that.

i think they are all around 6pm. I encourage anyone in Baltimore to go to these damn things, even if you dont really care for the band. the more people that come, the more instores happen.

(i know, easy for me to say, i work across the street from Soundgarden)
Good point, Sonick. ;)

Unfortunately, I'm not across the street. Then again, that may be fortunate or I'd be living on the street with no place to play all of my wonderful CDs.
A couple shows at Fletcher's:

11/1 - Mew
11/30 - Murder By Death (opening for The Hush Sound)
