YEs!
I will definitely be there if you want to meet up.  Too bad we arent getting Mater Suspiria Vision on the bill, as some of the European Psychic Ills shows have both playing (MSV announced US dates… Sadly they are only in CA).

Rapdragons (with 88 Cutlass)

1/26 - Baltimore, MD - The Bell Foundry (local show before we go!)

that's surprising
An all might fartfest would be outstanding compared to that abysmal OM performance. We left early as well.

That doesn't mean Janelle Monae was good. To me, her performance sounded like it had alot of prerecorded, canned backing music, and the songs sounded exactly like they do on record. If lots of jumping around and dancing is ones' idea of an outstanding performance, I guess you could say she was outstanding.

She was outstanding compared to of Montreal, who were horrible at that show.  I remember being on the balcony and just watching people on the floor streaming for the exit.  Three reviews were written about that show (Malitz for the Post; Jenkins for Spin; myself for Express), and we all trashed it.  Absolutely horrible performance by that band.

I was at that show, and thought she was kind of meh.

Something tells me with that price, maybe it's some kind of benefit show?

Remember when Janelle Monae opened for Of Montreal at the club for something like $25?
Monae was fantastic but $75 is a bit nutty.

Plus, their albums have been shit since Hissing Fauna anyway.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. Hard to believe it has come to this as Satanic Panic-Sundlandic Twins-Hissing Fauna was an incredible run (and the songs were pretty fucking good live, too).
Yup, their last gasp of decent creation. My favorite run is Bedside Drama>Coquelicot but Satanic Panic>Hissing Fauna was also solid.

I'd prefer a w00tstock over Hardwick, i find him by myself a bit annoying…
The Specials have confirmed March dates in the and other than two SXSW shows and a Chicago show, no longer specifics provided.  What is known is that …

"We are very sad Neville cannot join us on The Specials UK tour in May 2013 or indeed on the future projects we have planned. He has made a huge contribution to the fantastic time and reception we have received since we started and reformed in 2009 . However , he missed a number of key shows last year due to ill health & his health is obviously much more important . We wish him the very best for the future."

that is sad.  I thought it would be cool if they could do some fun boy 3 songs during the special reunion sets as all the members of fun boy 3 were in the reunion.
