The High Tide Music Festival
Sat./Sun. June 2-3, 2012
Ocean City, MD
No acts confirmed yet as this bun has just been placed in the oven. The City Council just okayed a deal for Founders Entertainment (Bonnaroo people), who came up with the idea, to bring the festival to town. I know one of the City Council members and made sure to thank her for going ahead with this plan because this town is seriously lacking any sort of decent music for younger adults. By 'younger', that includes those of us who tend to prefer to see bands playing music from this millenium, short of Country which isn't my personal thing. Even if they end up booking only bands that I have no interest in seeing, I'm still psyched because I understand fully well how it will open the door for many, many more musical opportunities besides the old town fall backs which have 0% appeal to me.

If the barricade were to collapse it would definitely endanger fans up front. Ok - they're already in danger of being squeezed to death up front….this would make it more likely that they'd get trampled by the initial push once the barricade falls.
Not making excuses for the band. Anything that puts them in a bad light is ok by me.

As much as I like JWH and enjoy his solo shows, I think the new album (on which all these guests played) is rather weak.
