Holy shit against me! playing at black cat. You have to pretty much hate rock not to goto this one. Most bands prefer playing in the small shitty clubs.Way more connection with the fans and better atmosphere. I know if I was in a band I would defin prefer playing black cat over 930.
Just Announced

I'm seeing Deerhunter next weekend play a restaurant in Norfolk. Should be incredible.

They're big enough for you to know who they are. :p
Someone please please please tell me this is at night, after the battles/GGD/BD show:
16-August
Environ hosts
Kelley Polar Quartet
Metro Area (Environ)
Tony Conrad
PS1
NYC
Tony Conrad is so out of place in that lineup but I'll take it.
Maybe they're trying to do a "best of minimal" thing (techno and drone)? Then again, do Metro Area and Polar fall into the minimal category? It's debatable.

Originally posted by azaghal1981:Yeah, its debatable. I'd say they're both neo-disco, but that's just me. I don't know HOW I'd describe Tony Conrad. I've never seen him live, but I can't wait for it!

The Veils were great at DC9 last time. It's sad that Liam Finn is headlining this…

coz he wont match the intensity of the Veils. The Veils should headline.

Calliope and Advice for Young Mothers should have been big AAA hits, at least. I don't get why they aren't bigger. They need an iPod commercial or equivalent!
