Thanks for the heads up, got 'em.  Oh, and James Ford, get over yourself…

So Soft Sales still kind of exist but they are, like, super soft?

Social D, for instance.
And Superchunk.

Can we get these at the box office?  Service charge on the $20 is $8.75.
Answer is no.  According to B.O., the Superchunk show is still "artist sale only," even though I had it queued up on ticketfly at my office, hence I know that the service charge was precisely $8.75.  :(

Did James Ford get his?  ;D
Tickets will still be available (without ticketfly fees) when I'm at the club tonight, right? Because nobody reads this board, right?

^^  not sure about that. If it's on "artist presale" like Superchunk, you won't be able to buy it at the box office.
The fact that this thread alone has been viewed over 350K times in less that seven years tells me somebody must be reading this board.

And it's the double bill that makes it (perhaps, as I said) a big ticket, what an incredible douche. I be both shows will sell out before Sept.

320K of those views are the same six people.  Sweetcell, Vansmack, etc.

Actually, I rarely click on this thread since I don't live in DC and don't really care who's coming to town.

However, Smackie aside, there are generally twice as many "guests" on this forum as there are actual registered users for most of the work day:

irregardless*, Brian_Walalce gets a LOL from me.

* LOVE me some "irregardless"
I was going to say the same thing about you clicking on this thread.

Anyway, I only log in when i have something to say. When I'm simply browsing, I'm on as a guest. So the "guest" activity could just be regulars rather than true guests. Am I possibly right? Just saying.

That's about 148 views per day, that's not all that much. I think between the regular 10 or so posters on here that's pretty average. Not to mention lurkers, 350k over 7 years is……average.
full whartscape lineup and schedule up on http://www.whamcity.com
^^ thanks!  Beach House headlining July 25th!
So Whartscape is basically an alternative artscape for hipsters, correct?

I'm tempted to see Beach House and taking the Light Rail down from Timonium would work nicely.
this was from pfork:

Dan Deacon, who has become the de facto point of national attention for the Baltimore underground scene recently, told the local City Paper that "Our main reason for having Whartscape during [the more mainstream] Artscape is that Baltimore is packed that weekend with a lot of people looking for stuff to do that a city-sponsored festival can't really be host to. Not that we are doing anything insane, but I don't think Artscape would be too into Blood Baby screaming 'stab my face' at families eating gyros and looking at painted plates."

(except, it's not during artscape this year)
