Just Announced

Holiday Forum Party…

funny thing is, whenever I have been to one of those, everybody is real quiet…nothing like their online personalities

but I would really love to sit down & chat with everyone in person sometime in a setting where we could all hear each other talk

Could we do something in the backbar on 12/15 the night of the Children of Bodom show? Although the staph will be pretty busy that night with the show…

I would prefer a night earlier that week as I'm flying to London that night
Yeah I've heard about the previous forum parties and just like to see what they're all about, i'd just wonder what a 9:30 party in general is like

Or swap cds.
Seriously? Cd's?

Why doesn't everybody spend $20 and buy one of these 1 GB USB Flash Drives?

Load it up, exchange it with someone at the board gathering, and then check out what they gave you when you get home. Then you fill it up with your stuff, stick it in your pocket, and next time you see a boardie at a show, exchange your drive with theirs.
Seriously, cds. I'm sure some people still own them. Collecting dust perhaps, but maybe worth exchanging.
Besides, I can't listen to any kind of nifty contraptions at work, silly! And the same ol' same ol' listening habits in the car and home. Yep. Good idea though!
Anyhow, I did just buy a flash drive for $20 for my cousin though.
Haven't seen this announced yet

Thursday/Murder By Death/Fear Before the March of Flames/Heavy Heavy Low Low
@ 930 Club
January 19, 2007
Squirrel Nut Zippers at the Birchmere Feb. 6 2007 (yeah, food, yadda yadda dumb joke here).

Is this for serious?

this would make me incredibly happy.
I know the couple in the band divorced, and the chick (K. Whalen) is solo, so who knows who would be in the band.

is it so hard to take the flash drive, put the music from the flash drive into your itunes (or other program of your choice) then make your own cd?

I don't own an iPod. Doesn't bother me, I still like cds. I have some random / rare cds and in-store pressings which is why I mentioned them. Sorry to take up room here…(do people not really own cds?)

People still buy CD's, but that's not what you're talking about with sharing. You're talking about sharing burned CD's, which is what prompted the Flash Drive idea.
back to just announced:

The Queers at the rock and roll hotel.
this makes the 19-year old inside the 33 year-old me very very excited as well.

I don't own an iPod. :)

as such, by wanting a cd, i assume you would want an audio cd and not a data cd, correct?

Yeah, nor was I. Unless it's a Monday night and I don't even have a beer, I've never been described as quiet. Though I agree it's not the zany crowd you might expect from the yammerings on here.
I promise if there's a forum party to spit on Rhett if he shows up. Not because I hate him, but just to spice things up.
With a promised welcome like that, I promise not to show up.
