Just Announced

Billy Corgan duped three people to go on tour with him as The Smashing Pumpkins and they'll be hitting the club on 10/17: http://consequenceofsound.net/2011/08/smashing-pumpkins-announce-fall-tour/

guaranteed to be unreasonably expensive.

also, in tickets at 9:30 Club are unjustifiably expensive news, Lisa Hannigan tickets are $25

20th Anniversary of "Girlfriend," so I assume he's doing full album.  Would love this show but think I"m opting for 'new band' instead.  The Naked and Famous at 9:30…

Sorry for the double post, and cool that he's playing Girlfriend. I'm gonna try to make this, because I still love that album, and it will be a nice change of pace from the usual "new album and old singles" set he always puts on. He's sort of caught between cult act and semi-mainstream please-the-masses setlist wise, I guess.

what's up with this "smashing pumpkins" always having to be a bald guy in the lead, an asian guy on guitar, and a chick"?

and imo, the last club show was killer, followed by two mediocre dar shows . . . not sure what to expect this time around.
Funny…I said the same thing to Joe earlier today.

Joe is such a boardie slut.

Seems as though he has off-the-forum conversations with everyone.
I'm not the only one!?!?!?!

Given that the drummer's previous gig was working at McDonald's, it might not have taken that much to dupe him.

Last 8x10 show he did was great.

He gets around like a joint at one of those Grateful Dead surviving members cash grab shows.
Edit: I am pretty sure you'd be the only one he'd sleep with if the opportunity presented itself, though. So you have that.
^^ sorry, I have no Further dates for you, but there's

Dark Star Orchestra
12/2 and 12/3
Well that helps me sleep at night.  Or not at all.

what an original name for a venue.
That's sweet that a new venue is going up. I had no idea this was happening. I hope they book good acts though. Unfortunately, the fact that Bourbon street is involved does not bode well.
