Goes on sale in 9 minutes..

holy guacomole it's a 100 bucks a ticket after charges

Well to be fair he needs the money what with being unemployed and all (although I had understood he got a tidy sum as severance)

I hear there are also $700 VIP packages for Conan at DAR

Maybe he's trying to raise enough cash to buy NBC and fire Leno and get his old job back?
He has been added to Bonnaroo, so if I go this year I'll just catch him there  ;D
looks like the Conan DAR show is sold out.  They have been adding a 2nd night to other cities (NYC, Chicago, Boston) maybe DC as well

schnit. I was online then, but didn't look here or at news. Gah, why bother signing up for mailing lists - bands too lately haven't been announcing in advance.

yay  ;D
:(

I can't believe how quickly Conan was announced and sold out.

Did anyone even know the show existed before this morning?  I would have been at Ticketmaster at 10 had I known.

DAMN IT DAMN IT

Crap.

Does that necessarily prevent them from doing a separate DC date?
I got Conan box seats at DAR this morning AND found out the Pearl Jam news today. I think my head just exploded. :)

It sucks that PJ is playing Jiffy Lube, but they're worth it. I'll just arrive at 2 pm and drive my wife crazy. When they played there in 2003, I was on time to see the Buzzcocks, but I heard that a lot of people were held up in traffic. Eddie even mentioned that they started with 3 slow songs in a row (Can't Keep, Small Town, Off He Goes) to accommodate those people. I left during Ledbetter (as always) to avoid the post-concert deluge.

I've never heard Band of Horses! (Shame on me.) Anyone want to recommend a few songs I should check out?
I'm only a moderate PJ fan, but the live shows seem to be raved about, and I live in Bristow. If lawn tickets are reasonable, I'll go. Any idea of ticket prices?

Just get both of their albums. There's only two. I like the second better, but they're both good. They're not a "songs" band.

I saw them at Bumbershoot about a year and a half ago, and they played a bunch of new songs they were recording. Sounded very promising. 2010 looks like the year they'll finally be released on am album.
Pearl Jam always get openers that are better than them….

They could have pretty much anyone open for them and that statement would be true.  ;D

Didn't you once say that BOH live put you to sleep?
Yes, the BOH 930 show was a true bummer, but they were magnificent at Lolla last year…. !

This is true, and I'd go so far as to say they're not really a "music" band either.
