Thinking of checking out Neil Halstead, wonder if he'll play any Mojave 3/Slowdive tunes.

He usually does, yeah.  I remember that he played "Alison" when I saw him at the Talking Head in 2009.

What is the appeal of Bon Iver again?

Shit is as adult contempo as it gets.

I'd like an answer too…
It's just so middle-of-the-road. You may as well be listening to the Gin Blossoms or Matchbox 20.

Piss off. I like the Gin Blossoms.
That first Gin Blossoms album is good!

Doug Hopkins was all the talent that band ever had.  Sad, sad story.
the mention of gin blossoms on this board just made me laugh.

do not understand the appeal of bon iver.  at all.

Oh hell yeah. I love the latest HoF album. Sound quality will blow though. I don't hate this place as much as others, partially because it's close to my house, but I do agree with the sq complaints.

Have any of you folks seen Justin Vernon live?
Had the pleasure at the club a couple years back.
Mesmerizing experience!!!
His singing is pure heartfelt emotion accompanied by beautifully blossoming band arrangements.
Struck a very deep chord for me.

Had my doubts until I took my teenage daughter to that show.  It all came alive for me. One of the best shows I've seen at the club and I've been to quite a few.

Don't get the "adult contempo" appellation
Never.

It looks like now it's going to be a 2 day deal on the 28th and 29th.
I went to the last Government Issue thing. Most out of place I ever felt at a show. Felt like a class of 1980 High School reunion. I guess I should have expected that though.
