yikes! maybe Sigur Ros is Icelandic for "good Charlotte" :)
well let's just say Sigur Ros is an acquired taste. Go see them if you want to, stay away if you hate 'em. Anyhow yes the Strathmore is seated and is a beautiful and brand-new orchestral concert hall with superb acoustics. So far there are no postings for either Dead Can Dance or Sigur Ros on the www.strathmore.org site. Presumably they will sell the tickets to their own shows, not via ticketmaster or tickets.com, but I could be mistaken. Just keep on checking all the sites in coming weeks for the on-sales. One cool thing about Strathmore is that they sell cheap seats up top and the sound will be just as great up there. Plus there's a buffet-restaurant and bar and free parking and a nice balcony .. I can go on and on. A great new venue for the DC area …
I thought "Ryan Doherty" might be a nom de plume of yours.

The first Fort Reno show has been posted, and noted by BigYawn.net. Hopefully better things to come.

yeah, you're right … whenever i want to gush about things which might make me seem uncool, i use "ryan doherty" … it's worked pretty well up until now, you're one hell of an investigator!

Clearly
I liked the Sigur Ros show at the 930 a few years ago. Although alot of the enjoyment was gone when I got in the car and found out US soldiers had started to bomb Iraq.

Ben Harper
Jul 25 Washington, D.C. 9:30 Club
Ben Harper has GOT to be my biggest and worst guilty pleasure of all!!!! I love him. and was terribly upset when i heard he was touring with Trey A. (and a couple years ago w/ Jack Johnson)

I am definitely going to this one, for sure.

very exciting. now lets hope ticket arent $45!
I know it's rather late to reply to this, but deal with it because my story is semi-interesting:

I'm lucky enough to have been at a Les Paul show that Ben Harper was at. Ben played a song with Les and his band. At the end, Ben started praising him and then Les asked, "Whatchoo smokin', hippie?"

Just a late anecdote.
