I saw him a few years ago at the State Theatre and it was a big disappointment.  A trainwreck.

I was at the DC show and I would say it’s not worth it if you want to see an impressive version Lee Scratch Perry. The backing music is great but it seems like they just put Lee on stage to babble out lyrics and whatever comes in his head at the time.

Exactly. At the show I saw, he repeated the word "pussy" over and over again for like 20 minutes.

Brilliant engineer, producer, etc… But let's not forget this is a guy who burned down his own studio because the voices told him to.

I don’t think he ever put on better shows….it’s the way they are…I remember seeing him 20 years ago at 930 and being horrified

The plus is they do blackboard jungle

He is a really nice and kooky guy

The last time I saw him like 5 years ago one patron was walking around convinced it wasn’t even lee Perry!!!
