completely untrue.. most bands badly want to play that night for the big paycheck.. in fact there are bands that often only play New Year's shows..

How is Sheer Mag on this? A bit out place methinks. The Goons were awesome at the Sidebar, glad those guys are back. I saw the Post Teens a long time ago with Torche's drummer and they were not very good.
