Admittedly, I thought she'd be playing the Anthem by then.

agreed, burned bright for a hot min, but the second album really isn't wowing people as much as the first

Pet peeve: Adding additional shows that occur prior to the originally scheduled show.

Worse Peeve: When added shows are on a weekend night and the original date is mid-week (luckily not the case here, but that has happened before and is infuriating)

Michael Shannon the actor?

Yeah…he did this in Chicago a few weeks / months back.  Weird, but I heard it was good.

Unless artists really value free cupcakes, this could be a hurdle…

Starting today, all acts playing Live Nation owned and operated clubs, from headliners to support acts will receive a $1,500 gas and travel cash stipend per show to all headliners and support acts, on top of nightly performance compensation.
Also dropping merchandise fees, which is arguably a bigger deal.  I keep seeing the phrase "developing artists" linked to the stipend, but haven't yet seen what that means.

Pretty lousy when the company known for being evil does something good before you do…

I predict a profusion of solo tours.

I doubt this will just be a freebie; I'm sure the Nightly Performance Compensation will take a hit
but I do think it will help bands budget better when they should have been taking this out in the first place to cover these things

Yeah loved the first LP but second does nothing for me.

Same. And my daughter bitched so much about how much she hated the first one when I played it that I've moved on entirely.
