I noted the name change a few months ago…haven't really researched the "why". I missed her show a couple years ago…$30, a bit high.

Damn it all. Same night as Social D at Ram's Head.

I find it tough to understand why Immortal Technique gets booked at 9:30 that night and not Social Distortion. I would just think Social D would be a guaranteed sellout, plus their audiences tend to not be shy about drinking booze on a weeknight. Wouldn't that translate into bigger bucks?

But I don't see it listed on the main page or at tickets.com.

Any details on this? I'm wondering if this is the 9353 gig I heard about. What's up with Tom T.?

One appears to be a 9353 page (not sure if it's really them or not) that lists they being reunited as of 2007. The other is a band page where someone comments that they are scheduled to play the DC Space reunion show with 9353 on July 29th.

That's too bad if that is the case. However, perhaps I have more time to mull over attending. I've never seen the Cranberries…Yet, I highly doubt she will perform many of their songs & her solo stuff sounds a bit too pop for me.
What's interesting is a few non-concertgoers I've spoken to recognize her name!
I still think $35 is a bit high for her first time outta the gate solo in the U.S. (Am right on that - she hasn't performed solo in the States before?) On the other hand, the price seems typical of a label w/ a new album to promote for a former bandleader.
