I can't believe this show is only $15. They could charge $25 and it would sell out. I'm not complaining, though…
You can also order the new album for $9 more. What a deal!
That would mean waiting nearly another month, it was released yesterday you can get a physical copy postage paid for 6pounds 99 pence and have it by Saturday, Monday at the latest.

or UK Itunes store for 7 pounds
damn! the tickets in nyc were ridiculous at $34 or something. I dont know but it was a pricey f'ing ticket. Last time i saw them at irving plaza it was an excellent show. webster hall better be just as good because im sick of these ridiculous prices.

in other news - the fratellis are back AGAIN! and its $22 for them at roseland. WTF. i swear they only have one album. guess im waiting for lolla to see them.

ditto, save me a seat. i feel a road trip to MSG coming on…
Consider it a two-man trip then. Zepp @ The Garden, can't beat that . . . .

Aside of maybe having a menage with Beyonce & J. Lo in the middle of the Garden, but that's neither here nor there . . . .

Thanks! I checked pollstar, the swell season myspace and the Frames site and it wasn't listed. I guess I won't be visiting you in DC.

I did know of the Frames show in Sept. though - a nice B-day present for Smackette!

I would think a seated environment would be fitting with the intimacy of the music.
All chairs do is prevent me from snuggling.
Stop whoring us, & announce the tour already. They already suckered me into 2 nights in NY for crying out loud . . . .

HEADLINERS: Rage Against The Machine

Official lineup to be announced in mid-July . . . .

More I think about it, I have been looking for an excuse to go to Vegas . . . .
Where's your source? I saw it was rumored Rage and the Pumpkins would headline BUT that is the same weekend as Voodoo Fest in New Orleans. Also I saw that the Fox Affiliate IN VEGAS says the headliners are Tom Petty, the Killers and Dave Matthews Band. Where did you see otherwise, cuz if Rage is headlining this show in vegas, id rather go there than new orleans.

Without being hypocritical, here's my source: http://www.fox5vegas.com/news/13511015/detail.html?rss=vegas&psp=news

Your source is very accurate.

Considering that was LAST year's lineup & it already happened. :D

P.S. I know nothing about the Pumpkins, just that Rage is there FOR SURE. It's confirmed like a Don King perm . . . .

why would they bother with an arena tour? they're playing to more people, and probably getting paid more, by headlining mega-festivals.

Your source is very accurate.

that story was dated 15 june 2007… looks like some local reporter got hold of an old story, seeing as how that is in fact last year's lineup (check out www.vegoose.com for confirmation). weird. anyhoo, i can't find any info on this year's vegoose lineup.

in theory there is nothing preventing RATM from playing N'orlans one night and Vegas another on the same weekend.

and in other news: QOTSA have just announced 6 shows in canada, and one in minneapolis.
I was going to say something about the Swell Season show when I saw it listed (mainly to wonder how it apparently slipped by everyone, myself included), but figured folks would notice it regardless. I'm so there.

Vansmack, when I saw them at Iota, Glen did a bunch of solo Frames songs (Marketa joined in for one or two), which was really cool. I wouldn't be surprised if he did the same this time around. I still haven't seen Once, unfortunately.

I've only ever been to one seated show at the club (Emily Haines), and quite enjoyed it, so I'm looking forward to this even more than I would normally be.

Is this one that great? Nice lineup here, but I don't know how much better one festival is from the other because I don't go to all of them. Actually, a lot of them start to look the same and it comes down to nitpicking over bands you like, driving distance, expenses, and the accommodations provided. In any case, its nice to have a crapload of music festivals in the US these days. The choices just weren't there a few years ago and it seems like we are catching up to Europe a little bit.

There's a few things about this festival that make it IMO more appealing than say Vegoose which will likely be the same weekend (and share some acts with VMF) in Las Vegas. ……

Yeh, Vegas needs your support, like a hole in your phuckin head. And leave it to FOX to announce last years headliners anew, but perhaps those groups are playing in the alternate reality that anyone who turns to FOX for NEWS lives in…also heard on Fox News…GWB is up for a Nobel Peace Prize for single handedly creating a peaceful, prosperous, democratic, USA loving middle east….

They should bother, so I can get seats in the first 10 - 15 rows. I find the energy near the stage is far better than peeping out your favorite band from a football field away. (And I'm a seat snob. :D ) Furthermore, it gives me an excuse to jump up & down uncontrollably like Lindsey Lohan on an all-night binger.

EDIT: Rage is a co-headliner apparently, so expect another big-name/nostalgia act to be announced.

What arena show has RATM EVER played that the floor wasn't GA? And if they do one now, there's definitely not going to be any seats near the stage. Might happen with an amphitheater (meaning seats just outside of the pit), but definitely not an arena.

And how were you "suckered" into Rock the Bells? :p
Cartel Announces their Fall Headlining Tour

Cartel
w/ Nightmare of You and Weatherbox

No DC/ Baltimore Date Listed But there is a hole between:

10/5 The Electric Factory, Philly
10/9 The Norva, Norfolk

While I'm not the biggest fan, wouldn't mind seeing a 9:30 show between those 2 dates…
you could always go see them at six flags on july 26… *giggle*

Cartel is that lame band on all of those Dr Pepper Commercials. Fuck them.
And they had to steal another band's name.

ah yes, i forgot about the "because i want them to" argument :) agreed about the seat snobbery.

i doubt rage will be playing any venues with seats right up to the stage - as far as i can tell, all their shows have GA pits. and believe me, you don't want to be 20-30 feet away from the front: it'll be a human hurricane there. you wouldn't be enjoying the show, you'll be fighting for survival. not exaggerating.

Unless I run into three or more boys from the same frat, I should be good. My elbows are almost as powerful as Rage's music. :D

When I visited my cousin she had a ticket stub from their past 9:30 show…I felt the need to comment about them and their name. I didn't ask her to boycott, but she did say they're a bit much these days, and moreso since the commercial…so maybe they're on their way out the door.
