I usually only preorder as part of a fund raising campaign.

If anyone wanted to go to Future Islands on Saturday, I hope you got your ticket because it sold out.

You tell me after the show sells out?
atomic, I mentioned it on the 4th and 6th of the month.

Oh I must have read "Metropolitan Kitchen in Annapolis" thought it was the name of the band and missed the rest of it.  Must read more carefully in the future.

Surprised he's coming back so soon…usually about 5 years in between tours here.

Strathmore show was my favorite of all the times i've seen him.  I wouldn't mind if he played there again.

Do they really expect that people known where they will be 9 months in advance? Anyway there is a closer (March) Philadelphia show that I might go if other people are interested and if the price is not too bad.

I also hope that Nick Cave is not somewhere in August.
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, who released Push the Sky Away and played a sold-out run of shows earlier this year (including three in NYC at Beacon Theatre), will embark on an 18 city tour in summer 2014 (mid June to early August). Tickets will go on sale to the public Friday, November 22, but look out for a special offer and more information on Monday (11/18). Meanwhile, cities (but not dates or venues) where the tour will hit are listed below.
If that list of cities is in order, it seems likely that they would play dc in late July or early August.
The Iota, Arlington website says:

FR 13 Howe Gelb  9:00 PM $15.00

Unfortunately, the same night as Goblin…

now that's a good tip!

when john wesley harding played jammin java peter buck was there but after the show he made scarce which was a bummer..on the other hand he probably didn't want to detract from the other performers..i think the baseball project or some other band was there too and buck played in that band too..it was weird standing 3 feet from him while he played..
