I'd much rather see Operators anywhere but Sunset Rubdown at DC9 on a Saturday night sounds awesome.

Boardie meetup?

Bush was one of the worst of the 90s copycat grudge band. The only reason we ever hear their songs anymore is because sports arenas play them at hockey games.

Walkmen are excellent - they abruptly called it quits right before a show at Union Market about ten years ago

The whole catalog is great, but their last three records (You & Me, Lisbon, Heaven) are f'ing perfect

Definitely going in for the double dip on this

I'll be doing the same. That Union Market show was incredibly cool. It was outside on the loading docks at the end of November that year. Cold but not too cold if you bundled up. Great atmosphere.

i made a conscious choice to avoid The O.C., so i had to look up the reference… came across the following:

"The "Seth Cohen Starter Pack", which contains The Goonies DVD, a copy of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, and albums by Death Cab for Cutie, Bright Eyes, and The Shins, says a lot about his tastes and pop culture sensibilities."

That doesn't check out. I have it on good authority that neither of you are a two-dimensional cartoon cat.
