I think he was just laughing at the phrase. Pretty sure there was no judgment of the person in question in that post.

That does not change the fact that "I do not hate you, rat bastard" is a hysterical sentence, especially if one suspends their recognition that RatBastard is a username.
Have you ever met him in real life? Feel free to hate his political views - I vehemently disagree with many of them myself - but why don't you withhold your knee-jerk judgments until you have actually met someone.

ratbastard contacts me every once in a while, to mainly talk nice stuff and tell me how shocked he is that someone like me, a younger gay man from this century who does not believe most of what comes out of his older conservative yap, can still be friends with him and talk nice stuff back to him all the time. humans can be capable of such things, and i find it cute that other humans can be shocked by such actions. but here we are.
i think he has gone off the deep end now. his medical problems weigh heavy on his soul and heavy they are. his mouth emotes the anger from which he is forced to deal with such things on a everyday basis, into created, ham handed bullshit that he throws out to anyone who will listen. people in pain sometimes have a bad habit of bringing others into their worlds of shit, while others say nothing and shun all light of it out from anyone who could see to help.
i offer any hopes of help from my outstretched arm, my hands grip yours in the comfort that you are not alone. i do not hate you, ratbastard. i love you. you are nothing more or nothing less, than anybody else i have sincere emotion toward. be well, my friend. stay strong, my friend. love is stronger than depression, my friend.
If this was a practice writing session and I was a creative non-fiction professor at a Liberal Arts School, I would give this entry an A-.

kill sally . . . why do think, after all this time, celebration can not play places like nine thirty or u street or lincoln or howard or dar or someplace i know off the top of my head that i will go to? you know, the places that say, nice, that band has "made it."
Maybe they don't want to play those places? Not saying this is the case but it is not all that far fetched. Some bands would rather not be big.
i get that . . . but i love celebration too much for them to settle for meh as their career. i want big. of course, i always want big.
The venue for the 10/19 Wing Dam and Goblin Mold show in Baltimore is Fifth Dimension.
Celebration plays NYC and tours Europe. I imagine they have a better time performing in Baltimore which is their home, than DC. The crowds at Baltimore Celebration shows are full of their friends and family, all completely into it. No talking, none of the lame DC behavior (including standing around with hands in pockets). I have seen them around eight times so far, and each time was magical. They never disappoint, from free street festivals (Hampdenfest) to small art gallery/venues (Metro Gallery)… Celebration dropped their label and then decided to release everything for free, and the physical versions through Friends Records. The band does NOT want to tour all the time, which is one reason they had a falling out with 4AD and went the independent route. Dont you live in this area? If you are as big a fan as you say you are, I would suggest going to Baltimore.
i live in the woods, with the hillbillies and the raccoons of the forest as they wave hello on your ways home through the national natural forests of the virgina mountain backbone. your paragraph was the best way to describe the band and who they are to people on here who are going, who the fuck is celebration. but baltimore? really? god, dare i say it? uhh. go on celebration . . . play nissan or ev en patriot. oh god, i would die.
