It's a church in Columbia Heights; shows are usually in the rec room. No drinking/drugs is usually the policy.
And yeah, very easy to get to. It's close to the corner of Newton and 16th.
and terrible sound, but not as terrible as BLOWTEL
They have a PA now. It's better. I've seen a couple shows since the bad sounding one we caught there.
Which venues have a Yes drinking/drugs policy?

MPP!!!
I see Coco Rosie is playing the club. I am kind of suprised because I saw them on their last tour at the black cat and the place was pretty empty. They haven't released anything since and I can't imagine they have gotten more popular.
From WVAU's twitter:SAVE THE DATE GUYS: Our next Capital Punishment concert will be with
@FangIsland,
@EternalSummers
and SUN CLUB on November 9th!
Guessing this will be in the Church at AU.

Willis Earl Beal is opening the Cat Power show next Monday 10/22.
The Miami New Times reviewed her first show of the tour as a "trainwreck."

Videos on YouTube seem to suggest it's just typical Chan and nothing out of the ordinary. The backing tracks are odd for her, but she sounds pretty good. I'm still looking forward to the show. :)

just confirmed the handjob tickets are $813.
Keith Richards will be giving the handjobs and right as you are about to come, he will shoot a big needleful of his magic immortality heroin right into the head of your penis.

can you imagine the first few rows. the people. the money. the dinner at the four star reservations were impossible to get before hand place and a limo over the venue. james ford must be livid.
I guess I was mostly referring to the "drugs" part of the no drinking/drugs policy. As if there are a plethora of venues encouraging you to bring drugs onto the premises, or selling them at the merch stand. That said, it seems like Merriweather is fine with patrons smoking weed on premises.

Wolftrap, being a federal park, is well within their rights to hit you with a felony charge for any violation of any law? possession becomes nightmare-ish and I've got a friend of a friend who was hit with a felony charge for being drunk. Rough.
