My guess would be the size difference of the venues + contractual obligations between labels and promotors

Very correct, and it boasts a nearly 30% higher occupancy.  They are two radically different venues– it's like saying that since Black Cat and 930 are both indoor venues, they are interchangeable.  Dave and Pearl Jam can easily sell-out 25,000, so they do.
