It's them together, touring behind some Jack Kerouac project.

With a band

Drummer extraordinaire and Superchunk member Jon Wurster will be joining Ben Gibbard and Jay Farrar on their upcoming tour. The brief tour is in support of the soundtrack for One Fast Move or I'm Gone: Kerouac's Big Sur which features 12 original songs penned by Gibbard and Farrar based on the prose o of Jack Kerouac's novel Big Sur.

Other than Gibbard, Farrar and Wurster, the band will also feature Nick Harmer of Death Cab For Cutie and Mark Spencer of Son Volt

For a lot of people, the timing on this one is not so great… but for people who are staying in town over the holidays, it's not bad.

The Brazilian Girls did a show at the 9:30 Club on Thanksgiving night three years ago (I was the opening act), and turnout was pretty decent.  I think a lot of people are anxious to escape from their families after a whole day of Together Time, and for those of us staying in town who don't have family in the area, it's nice to have something else to do.

Aaaargh… I guess that probably means no 9:30 Club show for them this time around, right?

I really enjoyed their show in fall 2007.

Looks like Rodrigo y Gabriela are now doing two dates at the 9:30 Club: Mon. 10/26 and Tues. 10/27.

:)

Or basically, b/c you don't have to work the next day.
As someone who does not celebrate Thanksgiving and likes Zero 7, this is a really cool thing for me to do that day. Was at said Brazilian Girls show.
