Yeah, there are a bunch of new US dates on their website, but so far, the Philly and Raleigh shows are the only ones listed for the East Coast leg. But the Raleigh show is on 2/27, so if there's a DC date, it will likely be in March.

And if they do, I wonder if all of the crowd complainers will hit the show again?

It seems that they should come here as they did sell out and they seemed very happy to be playing the 9:30 Club. Paul even made some kind of comment to that affect and had a rare smile on his face when he said it.
i wonder if they could try playing a set longer than 45 minutes this time around.

Count me out. I'd rather hang out in a cemetary. (I suppose I give their recent show "The Worst Crowd at a Show in 2004". I went in a concert goer, came out a crowd complainer! ;) )

you would have enjoyed it more if you werent TALKING the whole time the Secret Machines were on…. ;)
Depends on how well rested they are. With some reast, they probably can play an hour.

what is Animal Collective like live? trainwreck?

dig their album (and panda bear's), but i can't see how it would translate live….

They're not normally on sale before they're listed on the website. Usually, they announce shows on the website on Wednesday evenings and tickets go on sale Thursday mornings. I'm not sure why a few big shows were recently on sale before they were announced on the website. That's definitely not the norm at all.
Maybe I should take back this comment.

Same with me, except insert "Boston" for "Chicago."
Has anyone heard anything about a possible Neko Case DC show? She's playing the Ram's Head Live in Baltimore, then has two days off before her next show in NC. One of the openers, Visqueen, has a Velvet Lounge date on one of her days off, making me think maybe the tour is skipping DC?

The trend of ticket availability before official announcement continues. Is this a good or bad thing?

fine with me (usually, until I forgot to get arcade fire tix), but it just shows someone's dropping the ball ……
She needs extra rest days. :p
