i cant decide whether to go see them . . . just to "relive" the moment and the essence of it, whatever of it left there is, or to just fall victim to the idea, that without jello, it is nothing to bother about.  but sometimes i think, that maybe it would be shocking and scary to see biafra so old and not the scream of youth brillance.

Why those guys?  Jello is more deserving of your ill will.

I actually saw Jello Biafra with his new band the Guantanamo School of Medicine a few years ago.  They were really good.  They played a handful of DK songs (California Uber Alles, Holiday in Cambodia, Too Drunk to fuck, Nazi Punks) and the crowd ate it up.  Jello even did a few stage dives into the crowd.  I'd see them again if they came to town.
Jello and GBAS are coming to the Ottobar.  Walky doesn't do Baltimore though.

6 September
Aerosmith with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators
Jiffy Lube

No interest in going, but I did think the listing itself was interesting.

Saw the original band on November 18 1985 at the current 930 location.  great show with Government Issue and Dagnasty.  Don't think I would ruin that by seeing either part of the band again but if I did it would be Jello and not the other guys.

Wow that was almost 30 years ago.  I am getting old.
I saw the fake Dead Kennedy's play a couple songs at Jaxx when they first started playing out and it was absolutely horrible - but I expected that going in. While it was nice to see some if the original members play their old song, as a whole, without Jello on vocals why even bother? I feel the same thing about the fake Misfits, fake Alice In Chains, fake Doors, etc.
I've seen Jello with his new band and they are great! I'd see them again when they play DC.
