I post on there, and I can assure you, the Bravery isn't confirmed in the least. They're using the assumption that since the Bravery gets played alot, they must be playing.

Billy Idol and JCS actually said on their sites, though, that they're playing.

sweet!! didn't see that one coming.
Is "facetious" another of your favorite words?

I was honestly pleasantly surprised to see that Jimmie's Chicken Shack were finally returning to the local festival circuit

I mean, I love them and all, but they've gone into hiding since their meteoric nation-wide success in the 90s. I just miss their fresh take on hard rock music, it's sorely needed today.

Never give up, JCS, never give up!
I just hope that Rollins Band will be there, because (according to DCRTV) Johnny Riggs is coming back to WHFS.

actually I'll take a nice Chateneuf du Pape over a Chardonnay any day

come to think of it, I'd take almost any wine over a chardonnay

It sucked for a while when the HFS went off the air because 1000 idiots flooded the boards, and for those of us who don't even live in DC, it was a bit pathetic. It's all good now, I have ban power, so the moron squad stays in line.

Keep it real, bags.
For those who care, here's your HFStival, according to a punk band called Unwritten Law's website:

2005-05-14
w/ SOCIAL DISTORTION,
BILLY IDOL, NY DOLLS, SUM 41,
BRAVERY, INTERPOL, MUSE,
GARBAGE, & OTHERS TBA

HFStival @ M&T Bank Stadium Baltimore, MD
why can't SxDX and NY Dolls just tour together and be done with… Can you honestly expect 99.1 percent of an HFstival crowd understanding the importance of the New York Dolls? this bites…
I agree with Kosmo, there is enough dumb shite (and dumb shites) associated with HFStival to keep me from going even if the Dolls are playing. Dumb.

I would definitely go to this….first time in a while there were several of the more major acts I'd love to see, but I'm in NYC that weekend for a wedding….what's a gal to do.
Are the Dolls going to be doing any sort of tour? I'd gladly travel to see them in a decent venue, but if this is a one-off show, I may have to go to this afterall.

Haha… over on HFStival.com, people are prognosticating NY Dolls on the street stage. "I've never heard of them before!" What's a guy to do?

No….fucking…way….

If this is true, it's hard to be upset about this because we've (collectively) bitched about the lack of talent at the HFStival for years now. Cheers to the organizers for getting this lineup together and making good on their Lollapalooza promise after it was cancelled - all it took was Clear Channel cancelling HFS and the corporation that ran the station to be gone for the organizers to take real chances. Kudos to them.

Oh, and it's a mortal sin to say "the punk band Unwritten Law" when they are listed with SxDx and NY Dolls. They shouldn't even be in the same breath anyway.
