GOGOL BORDELLO: 2022 TOUR
Sat 07 May 9:30 Club Washington, DC Doors: 8:00 PM
Mon 09 May Jefferson Theater Charlottesville, VA 7:30 PM / Doors: 6:30 PM

Meanwhile, speaking of Gogol Bordello, they've announced a US tour with support from Amigo the Devil on most shows. "Gogol Bordello is going on tour to spread the message of freedom for Ukraine," they write. "Every show of the upcoming 'Solidaritine' tour will be dedicated to the brave Ukrainian defenders, and a significant portion of proceeds will go to Ukraine’s battle for democracy. We will also partner with human rights organizations providing relief in Ukraine throughout the tour. Come stand in solidarity with us."

(frontman Eugene Hutz is from Ukraine)
Free Geese ticket… I guess a 9pm start time is too much to get me out of the house. PM if interested.
Wow…that's pretty sad (not giving your ticket away…that's really nice).  So you can only attend the blue plate special shows that start early enough so you can be in bed by 10?

As you know,  your opinion is really appreciated.  I'll be at Animal Collective tonight.

Incubus is a band I have a hard time estimating the popularity of. They seemingly oscillate wildly as far as venue size. They'll play big festivals and be a "second line" band on the poster then go play The National (albeit at a very high ticket cost) and not sell out. Then they'll play a DAR sized place. Then amphitheaters. I've never seen a band so all over the map as far as the sizes of places they play with seemingly no reason for the ebbs and spikes in their popularity. They haven't had a hit since 2004. Very odd band.

First time in a while that a band has played the Anthem that I have literally never heard of. Headed to Spotify and played their two biggest apparent hits, Talk Too Much and Chapstick, a couple times each. Made absolutely zero impression, sub-Maroon 5 level of blandness, am I missing something?

I don't think I've ever heard an Iccubus song… nor do I ever want to.

Me neither. But I was listening to alt-country in the 90's, so missed out on a lot of the WHFS 90's bands.

I didn't think I knew any, but you've likely heard this https://youtu.be/fgT9zGkiLig
sounds a lot like STP with turntable scratching for good measure
totally forgettable music

STP meets 311 is not a terrible way to describe them. A lot of their earlier stuff is very weed culture-y.
